Penn Medicine
Sarofsky played a key creative role in bringing Penn Medicine’s patient stories to life, producing two fully animated CG spots in collaboration with Cult Collective. Tasked with developing a storybook visual style, we crafted emotionally resonant narratives that highlight the personalized, high-quality care at Penn Medicine. Through compelling animation and storytelling, we were able to illustrate how innovation in healthcare is driven by real patient needs, putting a human face to the science.
To explain Penn Medicine’s breakthrough CAR T-Cell Therapy, this spot centers on Michelle’s personal journey. With a goal of making the story as relatable and accessible as possible, the script was kept short and direct.
Through carefully crafted visuals, we were able to explain how this innovative treatment transforms a patient’s immune system into a powerful cancer-fighting tool, all while establishing a deeply human and personal connection to Michelle’s experience.
Sarofsky loved our idea even more than we did – instantly seeing its potential and imagining something so much more colourful, more emotional, and more impactful. They invented new ways to work with us; new design systems and visual language – bringing innovation to our client’s story of innovative health care. There was no problem too big to be solved, and best of all… we had FUN doing it. That’s the power of a great partner.
Jim’s personal story carries a strong emotional tone, highlighting the real challenges he faced living with a Movement Disorder. Simple everyday tasks, such as lifting a cup of coffee, became frustrating and nearly impossible, often resulting in spills and a loss of confidence.
Our animation brings these struggles to life, while also portraying the steady support he received from his family and dedicated medical team. Most importantly, it captures the pivotal moment during his brain procedure when he experienced immediate and life-changing results, showing the profound impact of Penn Medicine’s advanced medical care.
